A Royal Maharashtrian Wedding at Kesari Wada : Kunal Tilak Bann Thann Ke
About the trousseau
For Kunal, we designed a short sherwani with intricate geometric thread-work, a pure linen kurta, and raw silk trousers. Our commitment to using only pure and premium fabrics was evident in every stitch of this trousseau.
The sherwani and trousers were crafted in a subtle cream shade, perfectly balancing the warmth and elegance needed for a winter day wedding. To add a burst of colour, we chose a #gendaphool yellow for the kurta, embellished with delicate thread-work and sequin buttas.
Our Experience
Kunal was open to experiment and trusted us completely. Despite ivory being an unconventional choice for people to try for weddings, he embraced it with confidence. He had complete faith in us. We designed a linen kurta for him to wear underneath, allowing him the flexibility to wear it separately later. This way, the ivory sherwani could be paired with any other coloured kurta. We hope to be blessed with more daring clients like Kunal.
From the designer
The Tilak family has been a pillar of Pune's rich cultural heritage for generations, and this Maharashtrian wedding was a testament to their legacy. We were really happy to have been a part of this occasion.
