We both have been born and brought up in Pune.
We graduated from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore as textile designers.

After our stint at Srishti, we recognized a significant gap in men's casual wear, which was dominated by generic colours and uninspired designs. This realisation was the starting point for an initiative to introduce men to a vibrant palette of colors, intricate embroidery, captivating prints, and varied textures, enabling them to express their style during leisure time without resorting to boring attire.

BT x TB is an experimental journey that aims to showcase more crafts in menswear and reintroduce traditional Indian craft practices with a contemporary twist. We are committed to making men more aware of the materials they wear, encouraging them to be mindful of their choices rather than grabbing a pack of solid tees in under 10 minutes from a mall. Through this collaboration, we want to build an appreciation for India’s rich artisanal heritage and encourage men to embrace "Made in India" art forms.

Having said this, art, craft and culture related events and exhibitions such as these have always been women centric. We want to change the narrative and make such platforms welcoming for men to shop too.

It has always been a pre conceived notion that men are lazy when it comes to clothing but we have come across men who are enthusiastic about their clothing but don’t have the options. In addition to this, we want to offer men with an idea of customising their own clothes.

As textile designers, starting with block-printed shirts in this edition, we intend to expand our offerings to include a wide array of crafts and handlooms sourced from various regions of India. Our focus is on seamlessly integrating traditional craft practices and handloom techniques into menswear, presenting these age-old art forms with a contemporary outlook.

On our website, you can expect lots of craft driven wear under the BT x TB collaboration. Stay tuned! We are brewing something for you every season.
