On a Sunday, we were showcasing our exclusive BT x TB hand-block printed shirt and waistcoat collection at a pop-up event in Pune. After a long, eventful day, we decided to unwind with dinner at LCR Gymkhana. Little did we know that this casual decision would turn into an extraordinary opportunity for our brand.

As we arrived at the restaurant, we were surprised to find the Netherlands cricket team dining there! The World Cup was underway, and the team had a match scheduled in Pune in three days. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and fans were eagerly taking pictures with the players. However, instead of joining the crowd for photos, we thought, "Why not show them our shirts?" Luckily, we had one of our pink floral shirts in our bag. Although nervous, we decided to take a chance and approached them after they finished their dinner. 

We introduced ourselves to Scott, the team captain, who was with Logan, Max, and two other players. We presented the shirt and explained the unique material and craftsmanship behind it. To our delight, they loved it! Max even expressed interest in having the shirt right away. Sensing their enthusiasm, we offered to gift shirts to the entire squad. The team was incredibly warm and receptive. They gave us their sizes and introduced us to their team manager, Dave, sharing his contact number.

We reached out to Dave on WhatsApp, not expecting much, but to our surprise, he promptly responded with the shirt sizes of the entire squad! He invited us to deliver the shirts the next day at the JW Marriott Hotel, where the team was staying, and proposed a photoshoot with the entire team wearing our shirts. We were ecstatic! This was beyond our wildest expectations. Filled with excitement, we celebrated that night and got an early start at our studio the next morning.

Our team packed shirts for the entire squad, each accompanied by a personal note. Arriving at the hotel at 10:00 a.m., we were warmly welcomed by Dave, who introduced us to John, a journalist and team member. The players arrived one by one, trying on our shirts and absolutely loving them. Logan, in particular, was a bundle of energy, striking poses and chatting with us about their lives and our journey. He even picked out a waistcoat to complete his Indian look!

Dave and the team even placed additional orders for their families abroad. After the shoot, Dave and John invited us for breakfast, and we enjoyed wonderful conversations about their experiences in India and their love for Pune.

To top it all off, the team gifted us four tickets to their upcoming match in Pune. As if that wasn't enough, their social media team and players collaborated with us, boosting our brand presence with posts and shout-outs on their official national accounts.

What started as a simple dinner turned into a dream collaboration, and we are deeply grateful to the entire Netherlands cricket team for their kindness and support. This incredible experience reaffirmed our belief in seizing every opportunity and showed us that sometimes, the most unexpected moments can lead to the most amazing adventures.
