Designing Dreams Together : Rucha Bhagwat Bann Thann Ke

Creating this outfit for Rucha Bhagwat was like watching art come to life. She wore a pure raw silk lehenga set with a pure silk organza dupatta, both adorned with delicate hand embroidery that took two months to perfect. The blouse was hand embroidered with teal silk thread, gold zardosi, and pearls, showcasing the intricate craftsmanship involved. The lehenga was bright orange-pink with delicate hand embroidery in shades of teal and peach, resonating with Rucha's vibrant personality. 

Rucha’s mere presence can brighten up a room. Her infectious laughter and tiny quirks are well masked with grace and charm! We created an outfit that Rucha could be comfortable in, one that is extremely versatile and graceful. She was certainly the center of attention, and she made simplicity look grand. The process of creating Rucha’s Mehendi outfit was spread over more than six months of planning, countless hours of conversations, drawings, trials, and more cups of coffee than we care to admit. Rucha is unlike any client we have had before. Being a creative professional, she understood the adventure ahead of us and was well prepared. Her vision, precise mood boards, and ideations were a peek into her personality. Our process involved sourcing sustainable pure raw silk woven with two shades of pink and orange, hand dyeing of all supporting fabrics, and delicate hand embroidery on the blouse, which took months to perfect. 

 

 

For Rucha’s sangeet, we crafted a bustier blouse, which was intricately made to measure. This was a learning experience for us as it allowed us to experiment with new techniques and skills. 

 

 

We also made a pure Tussar Silk Shela with delicately embroidered pearls and threadwork in ivory as a contrast to her bottle green Paithani and to complement the groom’s pastel sherwani.
